Our colleagues Antonio García de la Barrera, Macario Polo, Ignacio García and Mario Piattini have prepared a state of the art on quantum software testing, published as an article: “Quantum Software Testing – state of the art” in Wiley's Journal of Software: Evolution and Process.
As we know, quantum computational capacity is growing faster than the quantum software engineering knowledge needed to avoid a new (quantum) software crisis. Since quantum software testing is an open research topic, in this paper we first present a detailed overview of the current state of the art and, considering the lack of quantum software engineering-based techniques and tools, we propose to use mutation.
