    Our colleague Coral Calero, together with several international experts, has published the article “Development and evaluation of a reference measurement model for assessing the resource and energy efficiency of software products and components—Green Software Measurement Model (GSMM). DOI: 10.1016/j.future.2024.01.033.” in the Future Generation Computer Systems journal published by Elsevier.

    This article presents a generic reference measurement model for assessing the resource and energy efficiency of software products and components, describing the main components of energy and hardware use measurements of software hardware, including the measured object, measurement objectives, measures, metrics, models and data evaluation models. It allows categorizing and adapting existing methods and developing new ones that fit the requirements of each use case, helping practitioners to develop, plan, conduct and analyze measurements, planning, implementation and analysis of their software measurements.
