Our colleagues Elisa Jiménez, Carlos Pulido, Coral Calero, Mª Ángeles Moraga, Félix García and Alberto Gordillo have published the paper 'Analysing Instagram's energy consumption: Tips for an eco-friendly use', in the journal IADIS International Journal on WWW/Internet - Volume 22, Issue 1, 2024, available at http://www.iadisportal.org/ijwi/.
The article is an extension of the 'Best paper' awarded at the 12th International Conference on Sustainability, Technology and Education. In this article, the authors study and analyse the impact of the use of Instragram, examining the energy consumption of different functionalities of this social network and providing recommendations on how to use it in an environmentally responsible way.
