    • Toward a Quantum Software Engineering

    Our colleagues Mario Piattini, Manuel Serrano and Ricardo Pérez, together with Guido Peterssen and José Luis Hevia of aQuantum have published the article "Toward a Quantum Software Engineering" in the January/February issue of IT Professional magazine from IEEE.

    Summary.

    This article insists that we are at the dawn of a new era, the quantum era. Indeed, quantum computing is no longer a dream; it is a reality; which is taking its first steps, so we do not yet have models, standards or methods to help us in the creation of new systems or in the migration of existing ones. That is why it is so important to develop both techniques and tools that allow us to go beyond algorithms and quantum programming, and that really help us to design and implement quality quantum systems.
