Our colleague Ismael Caballero gave last October 15 a class entitled "Governance and Data Quality Management" in the subject "Software Quality: certification and quality audits of processes, systems, data and services" coordinated by Professor Yania Crespo of the Master in Computer Engineering of the University of Valladolid.
During the class, Ismael explained to the students, both those who participated in person and those who joined remotely, the most important principles and characteristics of data governance and data quality management. Data governance was contextualised as an organisational function to extract maximum value from data as both a business asset and an IT asset. Some reference frameworks were explained, going deeper into the MAMD model and some case studies were presented to help attendees to better understand the concepts.
