Task: BM1 - Asses the Target Organization
The current state of the Organization in which the application will be implemented should be described, in terms of their current business processes, tools, skills of people, attitudes of people, customers, competition, technological challenges, problems and areas of improvement, among others.
Purpose

To involve the project team with the organization for which the development is being  carried out, in issues such as: the area of business, operation, employees, etc. of the organization.

Main Description
The current state of the Organization in which the application will be implemented should be described, in terms of their current business processes, tools, skills of people, attitudes of people, customers, competition, technological challenges, problems and areas of improvement, clearly identifying those stakeholders involved in the business modeling effort. The OMG Business Motivation Model (BMM) can also be used to express the goals, strategy and the organization’s other business information, which then is linked to the definition of SoaML services.

If the software area belongs to the organization then, if documents exist that provide the needed insight into the area of business, business goals, operation, employees, technologies used in the organization, among others, these can be used rather than their being produced again.
