  • Analysis of Root Causes of Problems Affecting the Quality Hospital Administrative Data: A Systematic Review and Ishikawa Diagram

    30th November 2021

Our colleague Ismael Caballero together with Portuguese researchers from CINTESIS of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, have published the article "Analysis of Root Causes of Problems Affecting the Quality Hospital Administrative Data: A Systematic Review and Ishikawa Diagram - ScienceDirect", in the International Journal of Medical Informatics, published by Elsevier.

    Summary

This article analyses the main root causes of the lack of quality in hospital administrative data. A systematic mapping is carried out according to the proposed categories ("Personnel", "Material", "Method", "Machine", "Mission" and "Management") for an Ishikawa diagram. From these categories, hospitals can propose remedies for such root causes avoiding the impact of data quality problems.
