Our colleagues Ricardo Pérez-Castillo, Manuel A. Serrano and Mario Piattini from the Research Group Alarcos/aQuantum have published the article entitled "Software modernization to embrace quantum technology" in the scientific journal Advances in Engineering Software de Elsevier (indexed in the first quartile of the Journal Citation Reports, IF. 3,884). The article addresses the problem of integration of quantum information systems (increasingly widespread) and classical information systems, towards so-called hybrid systems. This article offers a solution from the perspective of quantum software engineering, and especially presents methods of software modernization and re-engineering adapted to both types of information systems.
