On September 16, our colleague Ismael Caballero has taught the class "Data Governance" in the subject "Data" of the recently created
Doctoral Program Health Data Science (HEADS) (https://heads.med.up.pt/en/data/) taught at the School of Medicine
of the University of Oporto.
The class dealt with some aspects such as the concept of data governance, the need to map organizational strategies for data used in
the business processes of the hospitals, the objectives and stages to be covered by a data governance program, the roles (CDO and Data Stewardship) that
are involved in the design and implementation of data governance programmes, and finally some indicators to monitor the efficiency of the programmes.
