FEETINGS: Framework for Energy Efficiency Testing to Improve eNvironmental Goal of the Software

20 de April del 2021

Our colleagues Javier Mancebo, Coral Calero, Felix García, María Ángeles Moraga and Ignacio García Rodriguez-de Guzmán have published the article "FEETINGS: Framework for Energy Efficiency Testing to Improve eNvironmental Goal of the Software", in the international journal Sustainable Computing: Informatics and Systems, from the publisher Elsevier.

This paper has defined the FEETINGS framework, whose main objective is to promote more reliable capture and analysis of software energy consumption data. FEETINGS is composed of three main components: an ontology to provide precise definitions and harmonize terminology related to software energy measurement; a process to guide researchers in performing software energy consumption measurements; and a technological environment, which enables the capture, analysis and interpretation of software energy consumption data.
