Auditing Green IT Governance and Management With COBIT 5

Our colleagues J. David Patón-Romero, Moisés Rodríguez and Mario Piattini, together with Professor Maria Teresa Baldassarre from the University of Bari, have published this article that explains how today's organizations face a relatively new challenge: to govern and manage sustainability, as sustainability has become an essential issue for organizations.

To this end, they propose an extension of COBIT, which offers an IT management and governance framework to help companies standardize and control green IT so that it meets business expectations.

This case study provides an example for planning and conducting IT sustainability audits and measuring the organization's progress toward sustainable IT goals.
