Quantum Software Testing: Current Trends and Emerging Proposals

This chapter presents a state-of-the-art analysis of testing techniques for quantum circuits, identifying trends and future directions for the development of this process in quantum software engineering. It also presents a first approach to how the technique of mutation-based testing of software for quantum circuits could be carried out, including the definition of errors and quantum mutation operators.
