    • Ismael Caballero participates in the 48th CRUE Digitalization Sectorial Conference

    Our colleague Ismael Caballero gave a talk on May 15th about the UNE Standards for Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality Management at the 48th CRUE Digitalization Sectorial Conference organized at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).

    The event was attended by various executive profiles related to data governance and digital transformation from different public and private Spanish universities integrated into the CRUE.





    In the talk, Ismael established the need to derive data strategies from organizational and business strategies. Additionally, he justified the need to develop, implement, and maintain a data governance system iteratively and incrementally to meet the strategic objectives included in data strategies through data programs. In this context, the concept of “data governance processes, data management, and data quality management” was presented as a fundamental element in the creation of the data governance system, highlighting the usefulness of the UNE 0077, UNE 0078, and UNE 0079 specifications as valid references based on national “de jure” standards for universities to tailor the necessary processes according to their realities.
