Main Description
| The current state of the Organization in which the application will be implemented should be described, in terms of their
current business processes, tools, skills of people, attitudes of people, customers, competition, technological challenges,
problems and areas of improvement, clearly identifying those stakeholders involved in the business modeling effort. The OMG Business Motivation Model (BMM) can also be used to express the goals, strategy and the
organization’s other business information, which then is linked to the definition of SoaML services. |
Steps
|
Identify business processes context
Identify technological contex
Identify human context
Identify problems and improvement opportunities
Identify stakeholders for the business modeling effort
|
Key Considerations
| If the software area belongs to the organization then, if documents exist that provide the needed insight
into the area of business, business goals, operation, employees, technologies used in the organization, among others, these
can be used rather than their being produced again. |
