Professor Francisco Ruiz has appeared before the parliamentary commission that studies the problem of depopulation and depopulation in the region. As an expert, thanks to his work applying the power of computerized data analysis to the population problem, Professor Ruiz has participated, together with Professor Ángel Raúl Ruiz, from Human Geography, presenting some results of his work and formulating various recommendations for analyzing, diagnosing and adequately confronting this problem, which is so important for our region and our country.
Among other issues, the professor of the Alarcos group explained to the deputies the importance of a good diagnosis based on good measurement practices, such as following a process guided by objectives or meeting clear requirements for traceability and replicability, in the interest of transparency and quality assurance of results. All this explained using real examples from our region, accompanied by maps and numbers.
