  • Quality and Sustainability of Information Systems in Practice

    04th March 2022

Our colleague Coral Calero together with Silvia Abrahão, from the Universitat Politécnica de Valéncia, have coordinated the book Calidad y Sostenibilidad de Sistemas de Información en la Práctica, published by Ra-Ma.

Several members of the Alarcos Group participate in this book: Ismael Caballero, Ignacio García, Felix García, Marcela Genero, Elisa Jimenez, Javier Mancebo, María Ángeles Moraga, Mario Piattini, Jesús Oviedo, Ricardo Pérez, Macario Polo, Moisés Rodríguez, AlbertoGordilloENG, David Patón y Javier Verdugo.

As Mario Piattini points out in the foreword, "it is more necessary than ever to invest resources and efforts in the R & D + D + i + d (Research + Development + innovation + dissemination) of Software Engineering. Precisamente este libro recoge resultados de varios proyectos de I+D, así como de actividades de innovación tanto en los ámbitos de los procesos, las personas y los productos software. And in itself is a great contribution to the dissemination of models, proposals, techniques, experiences and case studies related to quality".

This book is divided into four parts. The first presents models, practices and frameworks for the evaluation and improvement of process quality. The second part of the book presents models, methods and methodologies for the evaluation and certification of the quality of cloud products and services, as well as the maturity of data quality management processes in the Internet of Things (IoT). The third part of this book is dedicated to quality and human factors: design and measurement of the user experience and vulnerabilities of pluri-identity in digital life. The fourth and final part of the book focuses on software sustainability and covers concepts, techniques, measurement cases, tools for data management and analysis, and a governance and management framework for Green IT.

Considering the structure and contents of the book, we believe that it can be useful for both researchers and software quality professionals. It can also be used as a reference in Computer Engineering courses, as well as in masters and doctoral programs where software quality contents are included.
