Abstract
Quantum software engineering has become an important field of research. However, quantum software design poses two main challenges: the modeling of quantum software elements must be done in high-level modeling languages; and the need to further develop so-called "hybrid information systems", which combine quantum and classical software. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a quantum UML profile for analyzing and designing hybrid information systems; and demonstrates its applicability through various structural and behavioral diagrams, such as use cases, classes, sequences, activities and deployments.
