    • Governance of Information Technologies and Systems, 2nd ed

    Our colleagues Mario Piattini and Francisco Ruiz have published the second edition of the book “Gobierno de las Tecnologías y los Sistemas de Información” on Amazon, available in both Kindle and paperback versions.

    As Andrés Prado, Director of the ICT Area at UCLM, points out in the prologue to this second edition: "the book is an academic manual with the level expected from its authors, but it can and should also be used not as a "Swiss Army Knife" but as a complete "tool kit" in the development of responsibilities in the field of technology as well as in the organization, company or public administration itself".

    This book provides an overview of the different frameworks, best practices and methodologies to serve as a basis for the reader to create and refine his or her own IST governance and management system, pursuing several objectives: To present in a clear way the fundamental concepts related to IST governance and management, to expose the most significant aspects related to IST governance, to analyze the important role governance plays in strategic alignment, to summarize the most critical elements of benefits realization and value management of IST, and to highlight the importance of good governance and management of both risks and resources related to IST.
