Our colleague Ismael Caballero participated as a speaker last Wednesday April 12 in the Qualitas Day 2023 event, organized by the Colombian company Qualitas Test Team and the Chilean company Abstracta. The event, which revolved around testing, lasted three days and gathered nine speakers from different countries in Spain and Latin America.
Ismael, in his talk entitled "Data governance as an enabler of the Digital Economy: an approach based on international standards", talked about how data governance is becoming an elementary function to extract the most value from data by putting data at the service of the organization. In addition, he also spoke about the UNE 0077 Specifications for data governance, UNE 0078 for data management and UNE 0079 for data quality management, recently published by UNE and promoted by the Data Office of the Ministerio español de Asuntos Económicos y de Transformación Digital. The final part of the talk focused on how the Alarcos Data Maturity Model can be used to assess, based on these new specifications, the level of organizational data maturity.
