Last April 25th, our colleague Guillermo Fuentes presented in the doctoral symposium of CIbSE 2023 (Iberoamerican Congress of Software Engineering) his doctoral thesis work, entitled "Business Capability and Framework to improve projects based on BizDevOps". The objective was to disseminate the methodology and contributions he hopes to achieve with his doctoral thesis, which has two goals: i) to guide organizations to adopt BizDevOps successfully; and ii) to do so by ensuring agile IT/Business alignment. For the first, it is proposed to define a business capability that specifies everything the organisation needs to be able to develop SW applying this novel approach. For the latter, a framework is proposed that includes business architecture artefacts and practices, like a reference architecture, together with performance indicators (of the balance between alignment and agility) and BizDevOps governance support tools.
