Our colleague Ismael Caballero participated as a speaker last Thursday, May 4, 2023 in the 19é Congrés d’Arxivística i Gestió de Documents de Catalunya: that under the slogan "Dades en acció: de la modelització a l'explotació" has had as central theme the data governance. The event, organized by the Associació de Professionals de l’Arxivística i la Gestió de Documents, was held in San Cugat del Vallés from May 4 to 6, 2023, and brought together a large number of archival professionals from both the public and private sectors.
Ismael, in his talk entitled "Data governance from the ISO/UNE standardization", presented the Specifications (UNE 0077) for data governance, (UNE 0078) for data management and (UNE 0079) for data quality management, recently published by UNE and promoted by the Data Office of the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. Finally he introduced two examples of application of use of the specifications: one first on how to use the specifications to support data governance, and a second example of how to assess the organizational maturity level with the Alarcos Data Maturity Model (proposed in the future UNE 0080) with respect to data governance, data management and data quality management. The congress organizers will soon make the videos of the presentations available to the general public.
