    • Participation in the Worshop Cyber Security Education for Industry and Academia (CSE4IA'23)

    Our colleague Manuel Ángel Serrano together with researchers from the GSyA group and the University of Cantabria, presented the paper entitled Towards a quantum world in cybersecurity land at the Workshop Cyber Security Education for Industry and Academia (CSE4IA’23) held within the 9th International Symposium on End-User Development (IS-EUD 2023).

    This paper analyzes the risks and opportunities that are arising due to the quantum computing revolution, both in the field of cryptography, in which current cryptographic systems are bound to be vulnerable, and in the advances in the resolution of security problems that are currently intractable and that through this new paradigm become solvable problems. This is why the article proposes the incorporation of quantum computing in the curricula of Cybersecurity Education in order to prepare future professionals to take advantage of these new technologies and to generate new algorithms such as post-quantum cryptography.
