On June 21, our colleague Marcela Genero Bocco gave the talk "NECESSITY OF COLLABORATING WITH INDUSTRY TO OBTAIN EVIDENCE IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING", organized by Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo de Sistemas (CIDS) and the Department of Information Systems Engineering of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Regional Faculty of Córdoba in Argentina.
In this talk, two essential topics in research were addressed: rigor and relevance, highlighting that in order to achieve relevance it is essential to collaborate with the industry. Likewise, some models, strategies and activities to enhance university-industry collaboration were presented and some lessons learned and recommendations based on the literature and the Alarcos group's own experience were provided.
That same day Marcela met with the directors of different research groups and the heads of research of the Faculty to promote the co-tutelage of doctoral theses.
