    • 2nd International Workshop on Quantum Programming for Software Engineering (QP4SE’2023)

    On December 4, 2023, our colleague Manuel Serrano organized the 2nd International Workshop on Quantum Programming for Software Engineering (QP4SE'2023), co-located with the prestigious ESEC/FSE 2023 conference, held in San Francisco, United States.

    The event was organized by Manuel Serrano, with the collaboration of Dr. Vita Santa Barletta from the University of Bari, Italy, and Dr. Fabiano Pecorelli from the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science & Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands. Together, they have facilitated an exceptional forum for discussion and exchange of innovative ideas at the intersection of quantum computing and software engineering.

    One of the highlights of the workshop was the Keynote Speech given by our colleague, Dr. Macario Polo. His presentation, titled "Generation of quantum algorithms using genetic algorithms," introduced a pioneering technique for the automatic generation of quantum circuits, based on genetic algorithms. This innovation represents a significant leap in the search for more efficient and effective solutions in the field of quantum computing.

    Throughout the event, various contributions were presented that addressed the latest research in Quantum Computing applied to Security and Quantum Software Engineering. These works reflect the rapid advancement and growing importance of quantum computing in various areas of technology and science.
