  • How has remote work affected the performance, stress and motivation of software development team members?

    27th September 2023

Our colleague Aurora Vizcaíno together with Julio Suárez have published the article Stress, motivation, and performance in global software engineering in the journal Software: Evolution and Process of the Wiley publishing house.

The pandemic modified the optional nature of remote work making it a right demanded by employees, for this reason it is very important to study the strengths and weaknesses of this distributed way of working. In this article we focus mainly on analyzing how it affects the performance of your employees, their level of stress and motivation. In addition, it is analyzed from three points of view, according to the employee's profile, the company's characteristics and the characteristics of the software project to be developed. Knowing these particularities will help project managers to decide how to form work groups in order to maximize performance and motivation and reduce stress.
