Our colleagues Macario Polo together with Isyed Rodriguez have published the article "Analysing the combination of cost reduction techniques in Android mutation testing" in the Journal of Software: Testing, Verification and Reliability.

SUMMARY.

The authors discuss different combinations of techniques for mutation testing in mobile applications. The main problem in mutation testing is the time required to run the tests, a problem that is exacerbated in mobile applications by the need to compile, pass to the device the app corresponding to each mutant, install it and run the cases. In addition, several lessons learned during the experimentation are provided, which are very interesting for researchers, testers and developers.
